New Portable Oxygen Concentrator Released By Invacare – Solo 2

This oxygen generator weighs less than 20 pounds and comes with a handy cart to allow oxygen therapy patients to take their oxygen with them when they are on the go. People suffering from Emphysema, Chronic Bronchitis, COPD and a host of other respiratory ailments can now get on-the-go treatment. With a portable oxygen concentrator, oxygen patients can be served with needed oxygen almost anywhere they need to go. The SOLO 2 Oxygen Concentrator is a significant breakthrough for oxygen patients because it allows high dose patients an opportunity to use a portable oxygen concentrator for both home and travel. Most portable oxygen concentrators deliver only a pulse oxygen dose, very few portable oxygen machines provide a continuous dose. The Invacare SOLO2 provides both a continuous flow of oxygen as well as pulse oxygen. The maximum oxygen flow in continuous mode for the SOLO 2 is 3 liters per minute (LPM). In pulse mode, the SOLO2 produces up to 1.8 LPM. No other portable oxygen concentrator currently comes close to this high oxygen output. This means that many oxygen patients who have been confined to their homes or a care facility in order to get the high dose oxygen they require can now live more active lives. Now O2 patients can shop, visit friends and neighbors, enjoy the theater, attend meetings or a host of other activities.
The new Invacare SOLO 2 offers freedom most oxygen patients have not experienced since going on medical oxygen therapy. The portability of this oxygen concentrator is stunning. The battery can operate the oxygen machine for two-and-a-half hours before requiring a recharge. The battery can recharge while plugged into household current and while still serving oxygen to the patient. A DC adapter for the patient’s car provides the go-anywhere function. The SOLO 2 is small enough to fit in the back seat of most vehicles. Invacare has applied for FAA approval so that the SOLO2 can be taken aboard airline flights. Invacare expects the approval to be granted shortly since Invacare’s sister product, the Invacare XPO2, already has FAA approval.

I hear this is a great little machine. We are actually looking into this one as an upgrade from what my mom has now. Invacare makes great products, we already have one of their beds.

So I've done some research and we are going to buy one of these. I think it's a pretty cool little concentrator. I will be back to let you know how it goes. Samantha, thanks for the heads up, I checked out that website and they have a great price.
